These imaginative music player UI screens took Sony-Ericsson’s Walkman phone to new heights of creativity.
Sony-Ericsson engaged us to design conceptual music player user interface designs for its flagship Walkman mobile phone platform. The UI designs were required to be as artistic and fun as they were practical to use.
We designed an array of edgy concepts that cleverly displayed the title of the currently playing song, such as a graffiti motif that “tagged” the screen with the song title, and an old school motif that paid homage to the first Sony Walkman cassette players, complete with an animated cassette and wobbly capstans.
The result is that out of all the designs submitted to Sony-Ericsson from firms around the world, three of the final ten chosen were ours.
